What to check before ordering
High-index material can reduce thickness for stronger prescriptions, but the result also depends on frame size, lens shape, and how well the eyes are centered in the frame.
A smaller frame can reduce edge thickness in many minus prescriptions. Strong plus prescriptions have a different thickness pattern and also need careful frame selection.
Higher index is not automatically the best material for every wearer. Weight, impact requirements, optical characteristics, and cost should be considered together.
Anti-reflective coating is often considered because higher-index surfaces can show more reflections. Final suitability requires the actual prescription and frame.
