What to check before ordering
Nonprescription readers use the same magnification in both lenses and are intended for near tasks. They do not correct astigmatism, unequal prescriptions, or distance vision.
A current examination is preferable when blur is new, one eye differs from the other, headaches persist, or the required strength changes quickly.
Choose a strength that works at the actual task distance. Reading a phone, working at a desktop monitor, and doing close craft work may call for different distances.
Prescription reading glasses can account for each eye and other prescription values. Do not copy only the add number without instructions from the prescriber.
