What to check before ordering
Photochromic lenses react to ultraviolet light and darken outdoors, then move toward clear indoors. Temperature, UV exposure, and product design affect the speed and depth of the change.
Most vehicles block substantial UV, so standard photochromic lenses may not darken as much behind a windshield as dedicated sunglasses.
Compare residual indoor tint, outdoor darkness, available colors, material compatibility, and replacement terms before choosing a product.
Photochromic treatment does not automatically mean polarized. For reflected glare, compare a separate polarized sunglass option.
