PD refers to pupillary distance. Progressive fitting also considers where the lenses sit relative to your eyes in the chosen frame. These details serve different purposes; one does not substitute for the other.
The fitting measurements required depend on the actual lens design and frame. Ask for the requirements before purchasing, and have a qualified optical professional obtain or verify measurements when required.
Do not transfer a fitting height from an old frame to a new frame without review. Differences in frame size, position and adjustment can matter even when the frames look similar.
